Samba from Quadra

The documentary records the memories of the old sambadores of quadra, city with 3000 inhabitants, located 150 km from the capital, São Paulo.

These memories, fed through reunions of sambadores with his former colleagues, build a panorama of the rich cultural diversity that the region was home mainly Samba Caipira, Romance and recommended. But, however, is not a culture that only live in the past. It is renewed every weekend in the John Ditão house. He is the leader of the last Samba Caipira group in the region and one of the state only. In a casual meeting to prepare the traditional chicken, and the group recalls old stories and presents the viewer with beautiful verses, showing a vigorous hillbilly culture, creative and current.
